Orienteering is a sport that appeals people of all abilities and ages. Families and complete beginners are particularly welcome in BADO.
You don't need to be a club member to try orienteering - just
turn up at any Local ("C5") or District ("C4") event which are always "entry on the day" (EOD). Even Regional ("C2")and
National ("C1") events may offer some simple EOD courses for
beginners and children. Look for the "Enquiries" tent and someone there will be
only too willing to help you.
You join BADO by becoming either a National British Orienteering Member or a Local British Orienteering Member.
This table summarises the Local and National membership options. If any of this is unclear please contact Peter Billinghurst
