The competitors I spoke to after their runs all seemed to remarkably cheerful despite the weather conditions!
They all seemed to have enjoyed their courses.
I thought Andy Parker’s courses made good use of the area, which is very fast and has plenty of features to chose from.
Andy introduced butterfly loops for both the Brown and Blue courses which was different and seemed well received.
Despite the conditions winning times on most courses were very fast. Straight line running through the woods was often faster
than getting onto muddy tracks. The rain did make the White and Yellow courses slower than normal as the paths turned very muddy
in places. I was a bit worried by the times posted by the back markers on the Yellow course but having looked at the splits
no one control was responsible. At least no one was disqualified so congratulations to them all for successfully
completing the course.
Finally, congratulations to the BADO team for putting on an excellent event in trying conditions. I found you a pleasure to
work with.
